BPRA works with communities asking for support.
-
Traditional Knowledge Documentation + Preservation
We will support local and indigenous communities to document their Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) using Free Prior Informed Consent (FPIC) to support the continued use and biodiversity preservation of their land to support continued use of their plant medicines, native foods, and textiles.
-
Research Centers
We take the needs of the community into account when helping support a Research Center. Each center needs to have a clean, safe space to conduct research and support the full health of the community.
We assess the sustainability and impact that a Research Center can make in their local biosphere, their village, and the larger area surrounding area. Each center will include local traditional plants, modern medicine, clean energy, water, using weather-safe building practices.
-
Economic Development
Plant Research: After identifying which plants the Community wants to continue further research, BPRA will facilitate any research efforts needed for the community.
Product Creation: If the Community is already using a plant for a product and the plant is sustainable enough to put into a product for a larger commerce market, BPRA can support the business development, sustainability, production, and distribution of the product to support income generation.
Biodiversity Credits (BC): As Biodiversity Credits (BC) are maturing in the market, BPRA will work closely with the Community to assess if BC is a valid option for long-lasting funding for the community to maintain their lands, plant medicines, and culture preservation.

Plant Researchers
We will assess the needs of the individual researcher that is currently working with plants in their local community they are native to.
BPRA’s training support may include: economic development, infrastructure, technology, methodology, and policy support.
