All of us rely on plants and derivatives of plants for our nourishment, shelter health, comfort, and recreations; but modern technology has isolated most of us from the living green sources of the products we use. Many drugs used in medicine today are still of plant origin, but they are likely to be white powders, separated and refined from their natural contexts. In the same way, many of our foods are now processed into unrecognizable forms.

A guiding principle of the Association is to preserve the natural composition of beneficial plants. We will investigate methods of preparing plants to facilitate their distribution in a way that best serves the peoples' who use these plants and for the greater good of humanity.
