Stephen Dahmer, M.D.

As a forward-thinking physician, Dr. Stephen Dahmer has devoted his career to reinventing healthcare approaches, marrying clinical expertise with innovative research and entrepreneurial acumen. His trailblazing work has taken him across the globe – from serving the favelas of Brazil to the iwi of the Maori in New Zealand and into the Navajo Nation in Arizona.

With a medical degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and fellowship training in Integrative Family Medicine at the esteemed Andrew Weil Center, Dr. Dahmer has navigated academic and clinical roles – from Mount Sinai School of Medicine to the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. His impressive professional trajectory includes roles as Lead Physician at Iora Health, Chief Medical Officer at Goodness Growth, and founding Primary Care Physician at Sana Care.  His research focuses on harnessing the healing potential of medicinal plants and other integrative therapies to transform clinical care.

A tireless champion in Integrative Medicine, Dr. Dahmer now serves as Director of the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine (AWCIM).  An integral part of the University of Arizona, AWCIM is a beacon of innovation in modern healthcare, where rigorous education and mentorship empower thousands of healthcare practitioners to deliver evidence-based integrative medicine that transforms the lives of millions.  As director and practicing physician, he continues to push the boundaries of healthcare innovation, combining his passion for research, teaching, and clinical practice to create a new standard of patient-centered compassionate care.
